FEATURES & PRODUCTS DETAILS -TF611T GY

Tychem® 6000 garments are made of a proprietary barrier film laminated to a Tyvek® substrate. The fabric provides at least 30 minutes of protection against over 181 challenge chemicals including chemical warfare agents and toxic industrial chemicals. Tychem® 6000 garments are strong, durable and lightweight, and they are available in both high-visibility orange and low-visibility gray fabrics, making them a preferred choice for law enforcement, emergency medical services (EMS) technicians and military personnel.
  • Hooded coverall with Elastomeric interface hood for tight fit around respirator.
  • Rear entry design keeps closure away from direct contact with frontal chemical exposure.
  • Double storm flap covers zipper which can be secured by the wearer with snaps and hook & loop closure to prevent intrusion at zipper.
  • Attached dissipative socks with boot flaps.
  • Attached inner gloves (to be used with appropriate outer gloves).
  • Elastic waist for an optimum fit.
  • Taped seams provide strong chemical resistance against heavy liquid splashes. A sewn seam is covered with a strip of compatible chemical-resistant material through heat sealing.

SPECIFICATIONS

  • The garment shall be constructed of DuPont™ Tychem® 6000 -- a patented fabric made with a multi-layer composite barrier film laminated to a DuPont™ Tyvek® protective fabric.
  • The garment shall be gray in color.
  • The garment shall be a hooded coverall design.
  • The garment shall have taped seams.
  • The tape used to cover the seams shall be a film composite with equal to or greater chemical resistance than the base fabric.
  • The garment shall have a Elastomeric interface hood.
  • The garment shall have a rear zipper closure.

  • Wear other appropriate PPE such as, but not limited to, respiratory, eye, head, hand, and foot protection based on the hazard assessment.
  • The elastomeric hood seal helps to ensure a tight fit of the hood around a full-face mask. Exposure to certain very fine particles, intensive liquid sprays and splashes of hazardous substances may require a sealing of higher barrier properties than those offer by the elastomeric seal of Tychem� 6000, model TF 611T.
  • The wearer shall verify that the hood elastomeric material seals appropriately with the respirator face piece model being used.
  • The attached socks are designed to be dissipative and worn inside safety shoes or boots only. These socks are not suitable to be used as outer footwear. They do not have adequate durability or slip resistance to be worn as the outer footwear. Wear separate appropriate outer footwear over the garment sock.
    The fabric used to make the garment has an antistatic coating applied to inside only. The garment has attached dissipative socks that permit grounding of the wearer from inside through conductive shoes and flooring without additional wiring. Compliant with EN 1149-5. The electrostatic dissipative performance of both the suit and the wearer needs to be continuously achieved by wearing adequate footwear, flooring system, use of a grounding cable or by any other suitable means. The electrostatic dissipative performance can be affected by relative humidity, wear and tear, irradiation or sterilization processing, contamination and aging.
